The Bear and the Dahlias
Quite often on our mountain plateau of Highlands-Cashiers, we discuss and chatter about two prevailing topics.
The first theme is: “I had a bear visitor yesterday”.
Another subject that is widely conversed over is Dahlias: “How long will it take for the tubers we fastidiously planted in the Spring to come forth with their outstanding and magnificent blossoms?”.
Both matters are prevalent in the most blessed and glorious land we call home.
My encaustic painting is a tribute to both subjects sprinkled with a bit of fun and humor.
