Spirit and Hope

Every morning I am blessed to awaken to the cooing of the mourning dove.

The dove, in many cultures, symbolizes inner peace and hope.

The young maiden in my painting gently holds this dove as she aspires to what this creature embodies; contentment, tranquility and hopefulness.
