Minerva and the Owls

My encaustic painting is a tribute to the feminine intuition we as females are gifted with.

The Roman goddess, Minerva, symbolizes wisdom, justice, the arts, and education.

She was the wisest of all Gods in mythology. Minerva was the Etruscan counterpart to the Greek goddess, Athena; in each culture these goddesses stood for the same imputes.

Today in modern culture, women stand for the identical qualities and have the foresight and work diligently to create environments which celebrate these attributes.
