Live With Courage

As we navigate through uncertain times in our country, I felt a yearning to paint an abstract eagle, surrounded by a conceptual American Flag.

The antique dictionary paper embedded in the painting, contains the word “Die” at the top of the page, I then stamped “Live with Courage” on the dictionary paper, the interwoven message is that masses of men and women have died with steadfast courage to keep this glorious land of ours safe. Their loyalty and sacrifice to our country is profound.

No matter what side of the aisle you are on, this country was founded on courage and we still reside there.

Courage’s definition is “Strength in the face of danger, pain, or grief.”

Courage to me, also means inhabiting hope and profound gratitude.
