Afternoon With The Pup

I have created a new series titled “Refuge.”

Everyone has a place of refuge; consciously or unconsciously, a safe haven to escape to. A retreat from the world, a beacon to find solace in their passion be it music, art, the garden, the ocean, a chapel, cooking, being amongst the animals and the birds, or just a quiet spot that calls to us.

Believe it or not, animals, fish, birds, and even insects withdraw from their daily lives and activities to rest and recharge.

“Our happy place “ is a terminology of late that really does say it all.

The first painting in this Refuge series is “Afternoon With The Pup.”

This encaustic painting is a tribute to our connection with our canine family and friends and our undeniable and unconditional love for one another. They are our Refuge and sanctuary where pure love exists.
