This encaustic painting is a throwback to the portraits of the beautiful women of the 50’s. When one peered at these “perfect beings,” we heard voices in our head saying, “I will never measure up.”

The Illusion is each of them said precisely the same words to themselves. Negative self-chatter does not serve us as women; it paralyzes us and stunts our personal growth as strong, vibrant, creative, generous, and brilliant females.
